There is a wide range of accommodation suitable for international students in Wellington. Choices include homestay, halls of residence, and private housing.

Homestay accommodation is a popular option for international students. It involves living with a carefully selected New Zealand family who will provide a room and at least two meals each day. All New Zealand schools are required to provide homestay options for international students

Some tertiary level providers, including Victoria University of Wellington and Massey University Wellington Campus offer Halls of Residence options. A Hall of Residence is a type of accommodation where you live with other students of different ages, backgrounds and interests, with or without meals provided.

If you are interested in sharing a house with other people check out TradeMe for options.

See the Education Directory for the different kinds of accommodation that Wellington education providers offer.
